Here on the streets I see handicapped people, without legs, in their wheel chairs, begging all day on the street, because they have no one, and are of no use to society anymore. At night you can see them sitting at the side of the road, trying to sleep while they're shaking of cold.
Capitalism is not bad only because it helps the rich stay rich, it is because it keeps poor people (and entire nations) poor, and because it's main goal, profit, makes them put aside all human aspects, respect for the surrounding environment, for the place we live in and those we share it with. I can understand your reasoning - you do not want to be successful and 'rich' as I said, sure... You just don't want to be one of the people you claim to hate. That's the only reason. As for the homeless thing - well, that may be the case in other countries, you know, where people do scorn the handicapped - but here, we look after those that need it in that way. Handicapped homeless are rare - actually, non-existent - in UK cities, believe me. I think it's sad that your country allows people to 'shake with cold' at night when in that state. Like I said, I don't believe in handouts for these people, they should work as every other person does - and before you claim they are unable to, everyone can work. Everyone can do something for society. In our country there are processes in place that allow them to work, and get out of their situation. I think it reflects badly on your country, and your system of beliefs if there is allowance for people to be in that state on the streets.
You are terribly ignorant if you believe that Capitalism forces the poor to stay poor. The entire concept of capitalism is that the means of production (i.e the 'little man') is privately controlled (you know, HE countrols his own product, productivity, profits), goods are traded, leading to a free market. This can also be called Liberal market economy. The market is free to be productive, without middle men bogging it down. It is my opinion that this is the perfect system, especially when you contrast it with the current state of affairs in pretty much every country. Capitalists do not disregard the good of the environment, far from it, they actually aid in the support of the growth of it. Can you not see how if things were more private, the environment would survive and grow stronger overall? Land would be privately owned - meaning conglomerates who have no interest in anything but 'putting aside all human aspects' are unable to develop without permission; they would need to adhere to agreements made with the landowner. This implies that the capitalist system would support itself, while allowing for other aspects of the world to flourish. I don't think this implies that the poor will stay poor. ;)

I have never once said that for you to work requires you to work in a company. Feel free to quote if I have, and missed it. The idea of working to get your own belongings is noble - yes, that's exactly what I have said all along. For another thing, I have never said that taxes were a good thing - they lead to those who don't deserve it getting the money of those who do. You may argue that the taxes go, in this country, to things such as our stupid health system, the NHS, but in my opinion the NHS is shit. Private healthcare is better quality - and guess what, that'd be a product of Capitalism.
